What are the barn hours?

Our standard barn hours are 6 am to 10 pm daily, we do make exceptions for those that need to come out during off times as needed.

What do your boarding services cost?

You can find the pricing for all of our services as well as details of everything that is included in each service in the sections located above.

What services are included, and what is extra?

Blue Star provides a unique service, with many “extras” already included. Star Time, daily one-on-one time for your horse, is included in both stall and shelter board. We also offer a custom nutrition program for each horse.  See our facility page for a list all of our amenities. Lessons and training are also available for an additional charge.

In what show events do you participate?

We participate in open shows around the area.  We are available to assist you with any transportation or training needs you may have in order to reach your show goals.

Do you accept short term boarders?

Yes, on a case by case basis. Get in touch with us here to discuss your short term boarding needs.

How much turn out time will my horse get?

We turn every horse out every day, walking them out by hand. The average time spent outside the barn is 8-10 hours.  Naturally, because we put the well-being of your horses first, this varies a bit based on weather and the seasons.

Do the horses stay “in” due to bad weather?

Stall-boarded horses will be kept in during severe weather. Shelter-board horses will have access to tended shelters with stall skins that help keep the bedding fresh and dry.

How many other horses are boarded at the facility?

Our maximum capacity is 12 boarded horses, so we always have time to take care of your horse in a personalized way. We love horses and spending time with them—that’s why we do this!

How often are your stalls cleaned?

We keep our barn very neat, cleaning the stalls seven days a week.

Is individual turnout available?

We offer short term individual turnout as needed for lay-ups or medical concerns (additional fees may apply). For the well-being of all the horses we do not offer long term individual turnout as we believe that social interaction is extremely important for all horses at the stable.

Do you offer lessons?

Boarders have the opportunity to take lessons on their own horses with our highly qualified instructor. We do not have any school horses at this time and do not offer any public lessons to those that don’t own their own horse.

Do you have any lease horses available?

Please contact us about leasing opportunities.

Will my horse have access to hay 24/7?

We understand the importance of forage and work hard to ensure that every horse has access to quality pasture and hay 24/7.

What type of deworming and vaccination protocol do you have?

We understand that every horse has different needs when it comes to vaccines and deworming. We recommend that owners work with their veterinarian to determine what the proper schedule for their horse and to obtain fecal egg counts.

How much grain is included for each horse?

We work with each boarder to create a custom nutrition plan to meet your horse’s needs. Up to 4lbs per day of the basic feed of your choice is included in the cost of board. We would be happy to feed any additional speciality feeds and supplements that you provide.
